The East African Fine Coffee Association or EAFCA is a leading organization wherein coffee farmers, producers, exporters and even processors are able to band together to achieve similar goals. We are an organization that seeks to accomplish several goals. One of those goals is to increase and spread awareness about African fine coffee. Another goal is to improve fine coffee production in the East Africa region. Our other goals are to increase the number of member countries and to promote the consumption of local coffee around Africa.
EAFCA knows the importance of fine coffee in the regions. Hundreds of thousands of workers and farmers are part of the coffee value chain. And because we know the importance of that industry within several different countries in Africa, we have invested a lot of resources to coffee production and growth within the various member countries that we have. We hope that through the investment of more resources into the region, we can encourage coffee production growth. And through this growth in the coffee industry, we believe that we can foster and boost more economic progress within the East Africa region as well.
Coffee is an extremely popular drink around the world. So you could say that as an organization the East Africa Fine Coffee Association is an international one. And in a sense that is true! EAFCA is affiliated with several other international coffee groups around the world as well. Our affiliation with those other international coffee groups, such as those based in the UK and US, have fostered more growth and development in the coffee industry amongst all participating countries. We as an organization are proud to say that we are the leading African authority when it comes to coffee production.
We continuously seek to expand the ranks of our membership. So we invite new member countries and even individual coffee farmers and processors within our ranks. We believe that fostering more relationships amongst the coffee industry in Africa, will only strengthen our association. Our ultimate goal as an organization for the coffee industry is to hopefully make the African coffee production industry the leading one around the world. And we hope that our members will join in on reaching our goals!
