Coffee Safari to Western Uganda – Mubende Area – Kasese Area

11 February – 13 February, 2008

11 February       
Pick up from your hotel at 0730.  Proceed to for visit to Coffee Processing Center and Coffee Tasting.  Depart at 0900.  Head West towards Fort Portal with stop at one of Uganda’s largest Coffee Estates, Kaweri, in the Mubende area. See Coffee production from the source.  Packed Lunch and visit to local cultural site. Depart afternoon 1330 and continue to Fort Portal area. Afternoon forest walk in search of wild coffee. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel.  Evening presentation by Coffee producer in this area.

12 February
Queen Elizabeth National ParkPass along the Rwenzori Mountains.  Visit Coffee Production Center in the Kasese Area including lunch. Afternoon continue to view Coffee Production and processing.  Depart at 1530 for Queen Elizabeth National Park.  Afternoon game drive in the park.   Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or similar.  Evening presentation by Coffee producer in this area (at the lodge).

13 February
Morning boat ride breakfast.  Depart National park.  Lunch.  Stop at Equator for a good cuppa’ coffee.  Return to Kampala early afternoon with drop at your hotel.

Coffee Safari to Eastern Uganda

Source of the Nile11 February
Pick up from your hotel at 0800. Proceed to for visit to Coffee processing Center and Coffee Tasting at Nakanyonyi (Kyalagani). Picnic lunch en route. In the afternoon visit Jinja Source of the Nile and Bujagali Falls. Dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort.

12 February
Depart Jinja. Proceed to Mbale. Lunch en route. Afternoon visit to Coffee Farms and farmers. View all various aspects of Coffee Production. Dinner and overnight near Mount Elgon National Park - Sipi Falls lodge and/or Lacam Lodge.

13 February
Morning visit around Sipi Falls, including a walk through the banana plantations to the Falls. Lunch. Return to Kampala early afternoon with drop at your hotel.
