Redberry Coffee products

RedBerry® Coffee is a company dedicated to creating the world’s finest coffee from the world’s finest beans. Since RedBerry® was founded in 1994 our objective has been to import the finest coffee beans from the world’s foremost coffee growing regions and bring them to coffee lovers across South Africa. We pride ourselves in maintaining the highest standards and make every effort to ensure that every variety of coffee that we offer is of a consistently high quality.

Our passion at RedBerry® is Coffee of Origin - as stated on every RedBerry® product we carry in our range. Our trademark indicates first grade Coffee of Origin that is grown in ideal conditions and harvested by small companies and co-operatives that benefit from the sales themselves.

Having grown our own coffee since 1986 and roasted it since 1989, we have built up quite a bit of knowledge about coffee. We currently distribute our products through the Wine of the Month Club nationwide, through a selection of stockists and at the Beaver Creek Estate located in the foothills above Port Edward, on the south coast of the Kwa-Zulu Natal province.

Our company comprises of Mr. Ed Cumming - (founder) Director, Ms. Lin Cumming - Director, Mr. Dylan Cumming - Managing Director, Mr. Robby Cumming - Estate Manager and Mr. Doug Tupper - Head Roaster. As a family-run operation that spans three generations of coffee fanatics, RedBerry® is built on a passion for and love of coffee in all its various forms.

Beaver Creek Estate:

Beaver Creek Estate logoSituated on the foothills overlooking Port Edward, Beaver Creek farm was bought in 1984 by Mr. Ed Cumming, with the first coffee crop planted in 1986. Three years later Ed and Doug harvested their first crop of Arabica coffee.

Over the next ten years they established a reputation of their homegrown coffee, winning over many coffee converts in the Kwa-Zulu Natal area. Going from strength to strength, they imported their first batch of coffee beans in 1994. That landmark has seen them build their business from a small family concern, in the process becoming a thriving roastery and producer of some of the worlds’ finest coffee. Since 1994 Beaver Creek and Red Berry have gone on to roast more than 66 varieties of coffee at the roastery at the Beaver Creek Estate.

The company has from humble beginnings grown to become known as a source of premium coffee amongst coffee aficionados. Focusing on specialty coffee and producing their own single origin product, the family has set their sights on taking their products to the next level.

Supplying supermarkets (Pick ‘n Pay, Spar), restaurants and distributing via mail order through the Coffee of the Month Club (operated by the Wine of the Month Club), both their wide range of imports and their own brand (Beaver Creek Estate Reserve) continue to enjoy a favourable reception.

Experience the world of coffee, visit the Beaver Creek Coffee Estate and sample these fine coffees. Beaver Creek offers visitors a daily ‘crop to cup’ tour, which outlines the distinctive flavours of the world’s coffee regions and the skills that create the perfect cup. The Estate Café sells freshly roasted specialty coffees, light lunches and delicious cakes. When it comes to coffee you are in good hands.
